Plate 01 / Round the clock managed security

Three in the morning is a working hour for somebody.

It is not one of yours. The team has gone home, the building is dark, and the hardware carries on holding conversations with the internet in an empty room. Starlight IT Services keeps that room under observation: agents still judging while nobody watches, a layer that gathers scattered signals into one legible record, and a desk at Fortify 24x7 with people on it at the hour you would least like to be alone. Every page here also marks where the observation ends.

Plate 02 / The dark hours

Small businesses are rarely robbed. They are read.

Nothing below requires a forced door. Each is an ordinary condition that simply gets worse after hours, when there is nobody in the building to notice it beginning.

Plate 01

The machine nobody switched off

A workstation left powered up so a long job could finish. Well after midnight a process on it begins doing something unfamiliar, and it has until the first person walks in to get that finished. No door had to be forced. It was enough that the room was empty.

Plate 02

The mailbox answering for somebody else

Once an account belongs to a stranger, the fraud stops resembling fraud. Requests come from the correct address, in a familiar voice, quoting real work. Filing rules get added so that the genuine owner never sees the replies coming back.

Plate 03

The backup that went silent in spring

A job failing since an update, reporting to an address nobody opens. Silence is not the expensive part. The expensive part is learning about it on the one morning the copy was needed.

Plate 04

The login that outlasted the contract

A supplier, a leaver, an account opened for one short project. Still valid, still unremarkable in a list of hundreds, still holding whatever it was handed on an afternoon when everyone was busy.

Plate 03 / The six fields

Six fields of view. One almanac. One bill.

Choose the fields you want and ignore the others. A unit is what gets priced, a month is what gets charged, and one invoice is what arrives. Each set of field notes states what the line does, what it costs, and the exact point where it stops doing anything.

FIELD 01

Detection and response

Run for you on SentinelOne + Fluency

Behaviour is read where it happens, evidence is assembled into one record, and engineers on shift work the case instead of mailing you a graph at breakfast.

  • Behaviour read across macOS, across Windows, across Linux, and on container nodes.
  • Fluency puts one signal next to the others, so a finding arrives already framed.
  • Three levels of response, from advice alone up to containment and rollback.

FIELD 02

Execution control

Run for you on ThreatLocker

On the machines that matter, nothing runs unless somebody approved it beforehand. Unfamiliar code loses the argument at the door instead of halfway across the room.

  • A learning window builds the list out of whatever your people already run.
  • Update tracking keeps approved software approved through its own release cycle.
  • Ringfencing pins down where an approved program may go once it has started.

FIELD 03

Mailbox defense

Run for you on Ironscales

Everything happens at mailbox level, over the tenant API, on Microsoft or on Google. A gateway it explicitly is not. The practice that makes people harder to talk round comes with it.

  • Joined over the tenant API, so delivered mail can still be examined.
  • Impersonation and takeover detection measured against your own message traffic.
  • Drills and short training pointed where the reporting says they are needed.

FIELD 04

Device fleet

Run for you on N-able N-sight, alongside Addigy and Zimperium

Machines counted and patched, Apple hardware truly enrolled, browsing filtered, and handsets that have finally acquired an audience.

  • N-able N-sight holds inventory, patching, scripting and remote sessions.
  • Filtering rides the agent already installed, so no appliance and no rerouting.
  • Apple hardware answers to Addigy. Handsets, either flavour, answer to Zimperium.

FIELD 05

Data protection

Run for you on Actifile

Locate the material before any policy gets written about it, attach a number to the exposure, and rule afterwards on what is allowed to happen next.

  • A survey across endpoints and the shares they reach for regulated material.
  • Exposure measured device by device, which is what puts remediation into an order.
  • Encryption at the file, plus a say in which programs may open it.

FIELD 06

Backup and continuity

Run for you on N-able Cove, plus Dropsuite

Every copy sits somewhere other than the thing it protects, and recovery is proved on a schedule, never merely expected.

  • Images plus file versions, off workstations, off physical servers, off guests.
  • Cove takes the tenant from Microsoft. Dropsuite takes the other three platforms.
  • Recovery tested on a schedule, so the evidence exists before you need it.

Plate 04 / Instruments

The instruments are not ours. Keeping them pointed is.

There is a convention in this trade of letting a managed service sound homemade. None of ours is. What sits beneath Starlight IT Services is a set of commercial platforms chosen because they hold up, licensed through Fortify 24x7. People whose entire job is minding them do the minding. Named equipment with a telephone number behind it beats a sealed box.

SentinelOne

Reads behaviour, and acts on it unaided, across every operating system in scope here, container nodes included.

Fluency

Holds evidence from many sources together, and keeps it, so a lone signal never arrives unaccompanied.

ThreatLocker

Decides what may execute, bounds what it may reach, and handles the requests to elevate.

Ironscales

Works at mailbox level through the tenant API. Not a gateway, and no page here pretends otherwise.

N-able N-sight

Watches condition from one agent, applies the patches, runs the scripts, opens the remote sessions and filters the browsing.

Addigy

Brings order to Apple hardware that has spent years looking after itself.

Zimperium

Sits on the handsets your people read mail with, and decides there.

Actifile

Finds regulated material, scores how exposed it is, then encrypts the documents themselves.

N-able Cove

Takes whole disk images, and rolling file versions, from desks and bare metal and hypervisor guests, and from one cloud tenant.

Dropsuite

Holds separate copies pulled out of a Workspace tenant, out of directory settings, and out of the ledger.

Every platform named, not one of them ours
Plate 05 / Commissioning

The first fortnight, entry by entry.

Nobody has to convene anything. A fortnight is the usual distance to quiet, and what eats the time is tuning rather than installation.

Sighting call

Half an hour. What hardware exists, what it runs, who has the keys, and which loss would really hurt. You finish with a list of lines and a number per month. Nobody presents anything at anybody.

Card entered

Pick your lines, then check out. Nothing about the card reaches us; Stripe sees all of it. Charging runs monthly, taken up front, and a bank statement will read FORTIFY 24X7.

Instruments out

Installers and enrolment links stack up in your portal, usually before the day is over. Each platform enrols in its own fashion, and none of them wants you inside a vendor console.

First full pass

Heaviest by far are the opening scan and the opening copy, each reading right through the scope one time. Keep hardware powered until the pair have settled. Only what altered travels after that.

Standing watch

Findings land with us instead of in your inbox. Your lines, your installers and your observations all stay put in the portal, and somebody sits behind that.

Plate 06 / Night watch discipline

What a watch is not.

Most security pages you will read this month offer to keep you safe. This one declines, because being kept safe is not a thing anybody is in a position to sell. Below sits the honest outer limit of a subscription.

  • Insurance this is not. No subscription sold here underwrites a loss. Insurance is a separate purchase, and several carriers will want controls of this kind already running before writing a policy at all.
  • A watch is not a shield. Keeping somebody awake shortens the gap between an event starting and somebody knowing about it. It does not stop events starting. A provider telling you otherwise has stopped being useful.
  • No response clock is printed here. The desk is staffed continuously. Putting a number of minutes on a public page, for an estate nobody has surveyed, would be decoration rather than a commitment, so you will not find one.
  • Enrolment draws the boundary. A line reaches an enrolled device or a connected tenant. Nothing further. A personal laptop that never enrols falls outside this entire price list.
  • Your own software is yours to test. Penetration testing and code review of whatever you build are their own disciplines. Naming them is more honest than letting a subscription seem to include them.
Plate 07 / Catalog

Twenty four lines, and a rate beside each unit.

Rates arrive from billing while this page draws itself, so whatever a card shows is what gets charged. Enter what suits, set counts inside your almanac, and check out the moment that list reads right. One subscription. One charge. Once a month.

The rate feed is not answering. A reload normally settles that. Should the fields stay blank, mail support@starlightitservices.com and somebody will work out a price by hand.
